GLSCL Red All-Stars Beat Blue All-Stars
Local players contribute in action

Western Hills, OH—  On a perfect night in Cincinnati the Red All-Stars featuring players from the Cincinnati Steam overtook the Blue All-Stars 7-5.  Cincinnati pitcher Reece Asbury (Miami (OH) Univ.) was voted M.V.P. of the game after pitching a scoreless inning with one strikeout.  Other Steam players contributing were Tony Kennedy (The Ohio State University), and Tommy Nurre (Miami (OH) Univ.) each tallying a hit and an RBI on the night.  From the Blue Team, local player Cameron Satterwhite (Univ. of Cincinnati, Cin Moeller) contributed to the scoring hitting the only home run of the game.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League players and fans flocked to Cincinnati. With a crowd of around 1,150 attending the game, and many fans coming early for the All-Star festivities, the event was a great success. All-Star players and additional prospects were put through a Major League Baseball evaluation preceding the game.  Over a dozen scouts were in attendance from teams all around the MLB.

The Cincinnati Steam are in action next this Friday, July 13 at home, at Western Hills High School.  They will be taking on the Columbus All-Americans.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
