8 STEAM PLAYERS SELECTED FOR MID-SUMMER CLASSIC
The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League Announces the 2006 All Star Game Roster


The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League is pleased to announce the rosters for the 2006 All-Star Game played at Bob Wren Stadium on the campus of Ohio University, home of the Southern Ohio Copperheads, on Sunday, July 16 at 5:35 p.m.

The Blue Team consists of players from the Cincinnati Steam, Columbus All-Americans, Granville Settlers and Xenia Athletes in Action. The Red Team consists of players from the Delaware Cows, Grand Lake Mariners, Lake Erie Monarchs and the Lima Locos. The Southern Ohio Copperheads will have players on both the Red and Blue teams to allow the home fans the unique opportunity to root for both squads!!!

Of the players selected for the Blue Team, The Cincinnati Steam will be represented by eight players. The eight players are broken up into six position players and two pitchers. The position players are First Baseman Drew Roberts (Jr / Xavier University), First Baseman/Third Baseman Brandon Besl (Fr / Ohio University), Infielders Tony Kennedy (So / The Ohio State University), Kory Lonergan (Jr / Northern Kentucky University), Infielder/Outfielder Josh Harrison (Fr / University of Cincinnati) and Outfielder Adam Pasono (Fr / Xavier University). The pitchers representing The Steam are both right handed pitchers out of Northern Kentucky University, Junior Matt Marksbury and Freshman Matt Winterhalter. 

The field managers for the Steam (Jeremy Ison) , All-Americans (Brian Mannino), Settlers (Ryan Grice) and Athletes in Action (Garrick Moss) will be the managers for the Blue Team and the field managers for the Cows (Bruce Heine), Mariners (Scott French), Monarchs (Brian McGee) and Locos (Rob Livchak) will serve as the managers for the Red Team. Stas Swerdzewski, field manager of the Copperheads, will be able to coach from both dugouts!!!
