Steam scored 3 in the top of the 7th to claim
game one, and then squandered a 3 run lead by
giving up 4 in the 7th of game two. The

first place with Columbus.
Nathan Jones of
Northern Kentucky pitched 6 strong innings for
the Steam in game one for the win, and Matt
Winterhalter closed it out by pitching a

the final inning when the Steam managed to push
across 3 runs for a 4-2 win.
Game two was just the opposite. Asif Shah
had a 3 hit gem going when he entered the 7th.
Five hits and 4 runs later, the Steam were
saddled with their 4th loss and a doubleheader
split.
