In the Steam’s first extra
inning affair of the season the Columbus All Americans
defeated the Cincinnati Steam 3-2 in 12 innings.
With two outs in the bottom
of the 12th inning catcher Chris Klimko
walked, advanced to 2nd on a sacrifice bunt. Klimko
scored on a base hit to left center by Dean Anna, last
week’s GLSCL player of the Week.
Danny Rosenbaum was hit
for the loss after throwing 4.2 innings of relief for
starter Brett Greenwell. Greenwell went seven giving up
7 hits and 2 runs, 1 earned with six strikeouts.
Offensively the Steam was
lead by Tommy Nurre who went 3-5 with a triple and 2
rbi’s. Tony Kennedy went 2-5 with a double
