Steam Win Thriller
Walk-Off Into All-Star Break With Win

Western Hills, Oh— Steve Brown (Xavier University) lined a base hit into left field bringing in pinch runner, Rick Betsch (Butler University) from third and giving Cincinnati a bottom of the ninth win, 7-6 over the Delaware Cows.  Nate Fields (Ball State Univ.) led the attack for the Steam going for 4-5 on the night.  On the mound Billy Kitchen (Indiana Univ.) looked great coming in, in relief, pitching six innings and picking up his first win of the year.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League All-Star break is up next for the Steam, which they are proudly hosting on Wednesday, July 11.  All-Star festivities begin at 1:00 pm and will continue throughout the day until the first pitch at 6:35 pm that evening.  The game will feature some of the top college players from around the country in a skills evaluation and All-Star game.
