Steam Out-Slug All-Americans
WESTERN HILLS – In a game that saw a combined 22
hits and 17 runs, the Steam were able to power their way
past the Columbus All-Americans 10-7 to improve to 16-9
on the season. Zach Hurley (The Ohio State University)
lead the offensive attack going 2-4 with 2 RBI and 2
runs scored. Other Steam notables are Jake Oester
(Toledo University) going 2-3 with an RBI and both Tony
Kennedy (The Ohio State University) and Jason Cisper
(Miami University) went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s. Pat Berndsen
(Thomas More College) picked up his 5th win
and Chase Stewart his 6th save on the
evening.
The Columbus All-Americans fell to 17-10 despite Eric
Diedrich (Youngstown State University) having an
impressive night at the plate going 3-4 with 2 HR’s.
