Lively Crowd SERVED a STEAMING Hot Win

            WESTERN HILLS - The Cincinnati Steam defeated the Anderson Servants 14-3 tonight in front of a wonderful 383 fans in attendance. The game lasted 2 hours and 35 minutes; long enough for the Cincinnati Steam to put up 14 runs on 21 hits.  The smorgasbord of offense started in the second inning when the losing Anderson Servants pitcher Tom Mueller (Ball State University) gave up four runs.  Every other inning seemed to feature a dash of hits and a pinch of runs thereon after.  Jake Oester (University of Toledo) continued to hit the ball well going 3-5 with 4 RBI’s and a run scored.  Tony Kennedy (The Ohio State University) also hit 3-5 and scored 3 runs.  The hottest bat of them all came off Jason Cisper’s (Miami University).  Cisper went 5-6 with 2 RBI and a run scored.  Brett Greenwell (Xavier University) picked up his first win of the year in a solid 6 inning outing giving up just 3 runs on 3 hits.  Robb Thompson (University of Cincinnati), Mike Korfhagen (Wabash College), and Chase Stewart (Miami University) came in and each pitched one inning a piece and upheld the Steam’s already commanding lead.  The Cincinnati Steam improved to 18-13 on the season and move closer to playoff contention while the Anderson Servants fell to 3-28.
