Steam Bring Maundrell On Board
Mike Maundrell Takes Over as Pitching Coach

The Cincinnati Steam announced today that they have offered their pitching coach position to longtime coach Mike Maundrell.  Mike Maundrell, spent the last four years with the College of Mount St. Joseph Lions. Maundrell was responsible for the team’s pitching staff. During his tenure with the Lions his pitching staff has posted team records in ERA, saves and shutouts along with finishing in the top three in wins, complete games, saves, strike outs, opponent batting average, and pickoffs.

Coach Maundrell is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association and has coached all levels of amateur baseball, including high school and college for over 25 years along with speaking at numerous pitching clinics. During the summer he served as pitching coach for the Midland Indians 18-year-old division baseball team that won the 2006 CABA Wood Bat World Series.

Coach Maundrell is a Cincinnati native and lives in Anderson Township with his wife, Gail. Currently he is of counsel in the law firm of Schroeder, Maundrell, Barbiere & Powers. Coach Maundrell attended the University of Michigan. His son, Mark, is currently playing on the Hooters Professional Golf Tour.
