season opening win over Transylvania

first collegiate win, hurling four
innings and allowing one run on two
hits. He shut down the Pioneer bats in
his first three innings - mowing through
nine straight. Junior Pat
Berndsen (Cincinnati, OH/Elder)
started in the game, allowing two runs
on four hits in four innings of work.
